The weekend of October 23 to October 25, Martha Cook residents and alumni gathered to celebrate 100 years of the Martha Cook Building traditions and community. On Friday we began the weekend with tea, dinners with women from your decade, and "dessert with the dinos", where residents and alumni ate dessert at the Natural History Museum. Saturday was a fun day! Crafts, a cook-out, and the 100th anniversary gala with President Schlissel! On Sunday our much anticipated event finally came -- the opening of the Martha Cook time capsule from 1993, and the introduction of what we put in our time capsule that is to be opened in 2115. I hope that you will enjoy these pictures!
Was Harry Potter week our only concern for the week? Of course not! We are Cookies after all, with extremely busy schedules! Two fun events of the weekend were the Michigan Ballroom competition, and the Northwestern vs. Michigan Football team! The Wolverines beat Northwestern, a team originally ranked 5 seats higher, by a whopping 38 points. Michigan's third shutout in a row, and we can't wait to see what the Michigan State game brings tomorrow! GO BLUE!
